Updates are frequently being released for both WordPress and the many third-party themes and plugins, often to actively protect against new security threats. It’s crucial that these updates be carefully applied and tested in a timely manner to ensure that the website continues to function properly and that it is backed-up regularly.
This all takes time and effort.
We offer plans for hosting (i.e. having your website reside on a server available to the Web) and maintenance (i.e. caring for your website).
Note that we also provide maintenance without hosting with us. If you prefer to use a different host for your website and are just looking for maintenance, we can still help. Just let us know what you need.
Hosting
We use the popular SiteGround managed WordPress hosting service for hosting our websites.
It provides 99.99% uptime, fast & secure servers and many other important features for keeping WordPress sites up-and-running smoothly.
Our SiteGround hosting also includes a free SSL/TLS certificate for all websites. Every website we host and maintain must have an SSL/TLS certificate to ensure its security. Not only is this a smart move to protect your site and its data, Google gives SSL-enabled websites precedence in search results.
We do not offer hosting services without maintenance (you can get that by yourself), so shared SiteGround hosting is included in all of the plans listed below.

Note: These are examples of common plan configurations. We can also create custom plans to meet your requirements.
Site support
- Includes content changes and correcting issues caused by third-party software changes (i.e. WordPress, plugin & template updates).
- Unused time for site support does not rollover to the next month.
- Additional support time is billed at a reduced rate of $70/hr for Premium & Ultimate plan subscribers (normally $80/hour).
- There may be an additional charge to update e-commerce plugins as they sometimes break the layout (CSS) of the site which requires additional time to correct.
Pre-purchasing support time
If you foresee requiring an approximate amount of time for support each month (for weekly updates, blog and/or comment maintenance, product changes, photo modifications, etc), you can purchase a plan for the desired number of hours at a discounted rate (normally $80/hr):
- $70/hr for 2-5 hours
- $65/hr for 6-10 hours
Notes
- The total amount agreed upon will be billed monthly as an ongoing plan
- A minimum of 2 months is required to begin
- Unused time for site support does not rollover to the next month
Additional Information
There is a one-time charge of $40 to migrate a website to our host and add SSL/TLS security.
Our plans use a monthly automatic recurring subscription payment which charges the credit card on file on the first of each month.
Annual payments made by check receive a 5% discount.
There is no contract so you may upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. There are no refunds for any unused time or for prepaid plans.
A maintenance plan only covers one WordPress site. If you have more than one site, you will need more than one maintenance plan.
Website maintenance includes keeping the site software up-to-date but does not include addressing any technical issues that might occur.
Problems caused by incorrect WordPress, theme or plugin updates/modifications done by yourself or a third party may incur an additional cost to correct.
